Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, pastries, and desserts with precision and care, following established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques to create visually appealing designs that wow our customers
- Package finished products efficiently while maintaining freshness and presentation quality
- Assist in food production processes, ensuring all items are prepared safely and hygienically in accordance with food safety regulations
- Support kitchen operations by handling food prep tasks such as chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
- Contribute to catering events or restaurant service by preparing specialty items and supporting the culinary team as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts with a keen eye for detail
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Excellent knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Experience in food production within a commercial kitchen or food industry setting
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
- Customer service skills to engage positively with clients or guests when required
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and decorating tools
- Knowledge of culinary techniques related to cooking, baking, and food presentation
- Experience in packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes
