Boilermaker – Refinery Maintenance (Par Montana Site)

Position Summary
We are seeking skilled Boilermakers to perform refinery mechanical maintenance, repairs, and turnaround work on critical process equipment. This role requires strong safety awareness, technical expertise, and the ability to work in demanding refinery environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on refinery equipment, including:
- Heat exchangers, pressure vessels, piping systems, pumps, and valves
- Execute flange make-up and break-out, gasket replacement, and equipment blinding/de-blinding
- Conduct line opening, equipment isolation, and exchanger maintenance activities
- Safely perform maintenance, inspection, cleaning, and component replacement in confined spaces
- Work inside vessels, towers, exchangers, drums, and other process equipment
- Operate forklifts, manlifts, and other material-handling equipment to support operations
- Perform rigging and material handling using proper lifting techniques and load control practices
- Work at elevated heights using aerial lifts, scaffolding, and fall protection systems
- Apply precision bolting and torquing techniques to ensure equipment integrity
- Collaborate with operations, inspection, and maintenance teams during outages and turnarounds
Safety & Compliance Requirements
- Work in permit-required confined spaces using supplied-air respiratory protection and full PPE
- Follow all refinery safety procedures and atmospheric monitoring requirements
- Maintain strict compliance with:
- OSHA regulations
- Confined space entry requirements
- Site-specific safety standards and safe work practices
Qualifications
- Experience performing refinery or industrial mechanical maintenance
- Strong knowledge of process equipment and piping systems
- Ability to work safely in confined spaces and at heights
- Experience with rigging, lifting, and material handling
- Forklift and aerial lift operation experience preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and compliance
Working Conditions
- Work performed in active refinery environments
- Exposure to confined spaces, elevated heights, and heavy equipment
- Use of full PPE and respiratory protection required
- Physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing, and extended standing
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
