Job Summary
QorTek Inc. is a leading developer of power electronic systems, world-class piezoceramic materials, and piezoelectric device technology solutions. The Company is actively engaged in various stages of technology development from initial concept feasibility and reduction to practice all the way through advanced engineering and manufacturing of products to meet different customer requirements by integrating novel technology solutions into real world hardware.
The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for managing both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to ensure accurate and timely financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
· Generate and send out invoices to customers.
· Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and manage collections.
· Apply and reconcile customer payments.
· Prepare and maintain accurate accounts receivable aging reports.
· Handle customer inquiries and resolve billing issues promptly.
· Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable
· Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper approval and coding.
· Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
· Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system.
· Prepare and perform check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
· Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
· Assist with month-end closing tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
· Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
· Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed.
· Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable roles.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (Unanet).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be a United States Citizen
Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
