Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Connecticut School Psychologist license (CT PSYCH)
- Experience conducting comprehensive student psychological assessments at the high school level
- Strong understanding of special education eligibility, IEP process, and relevant documentation
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage a caseload focused on evaluations
- Commitment to ethical, culturally competent, and student-centered practices
Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed psycho-educational evaluations for high school students as assigned
- Collaborate with educational teams to interpret assessment data and inform eligibility decisions
- Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary and IEP meetings as needed
- Maintain thorough, timely, and confidential documentation in line with school and state requirements
- Support the referral process and consult with staff regarding best practices in assessment
Role Details:
- Assignment runs from ASAP through June, aligned with the school calendar
- Monday–Friday, 7:00am–2:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Single high school campus placement, eliminating extensive travel
- Caseload centered exclusively on evaluations; no counseling duties required
