Field Service Technician – Parts Washer Route (No CDL Required)

Family-owned industrial service company since 1963 is hiring a Field Service Technician to service Cuda aqueous parts washers at customer locations across Northwest Indiana and south Chicagoland. You'll be the face of our company at some of the largest industrial facilities in the region — U.S. Steel, Cleveland-Cliffs, and other major steel, food processing, and manufacturing plants across NW Indiana. Drive a company-provided Ford F-550 — no CDL needed — on an established local route.
Why This Job
· $25/hour to start (raises to $28/hour based on performance)
· Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM — home every night
· Company truck, tools, and uniforms provided

· 1 overnight trip to Ohio every 2–3 months — hotel, meals, and fuel all covered
What You'll Do (Real Industrial Work — Not Clean-Shirt Work)
· Remove and clean spray nozzles and arms; service turntables and chains; replace strainer filters
· Test and replace water pumps; troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
· Perform water and sludge reclamation using a water vacuum and sump pump; occasional shovel work
· Refresh washers with fresh non-hazardous detergent solution
· Complete daily service sheets and written service records
· Communicate professionally with site supervisors at customer facilities
· Drive a company Ford F-550 on your route (pre/post-trip inspections)
What We're Looking For
· Clean driving record required
· Valid driver's license (Class D minimum — Class B CDL is a plus, not required)
· Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience — automotive, diesel, HVAC, industrial maintenance, ag equipment, or similar background all welcome
· Able to work independently on route and as part of a shop team
· Able to follow written procedures, repair orders, and direction from your mentor manager
· Able to lift 75 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, operate a water vacuum, sump pump, and shovel
· High school diploma or GED
· No prior parts washer experience needed — we train you
Bonus points if you have: Certified electrical panel diagnostics experience, or prior steel-mill / heavy-industrial site experience.
