The Micro Trench CDL Laborer supports micro-trenching operations for underground utility installation, primarily fiber optic conduit, while also operating CDL-required vehicles and equipment. This role combines hands-on labor with driving responsibilities and requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork.

Perform general labor duties in support of microtrenching operations

Drive CDLrequired vehicles such as dump trucks, water trucks, or equipment transport trucks

Assist Micro Trench Operators with trenching, conduit placement, and restoration

Load, unload, and transport equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites

Hand dig, shovel, compact, and assist with surface restoration

Perform pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance

Set up and maintain workzone safety, including cones, barricades, and traffic control

Identify and protect existing underground utilities

Follow OSHA regulations, DOT requirements, and company safety policies

Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites

Valid CDL (Class A or B, depending on company requirements)

Clean driving record

Ability to perform physically demanding labor

Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew

Reliable attendance and transportation

Construction, utility, or fiber optic experience

Experience driving dump trucks or construction support vehicles

OSHA 10 or 30 certification

Traffic control or flagging certification

Ability to lift 50+ lbs

Frequent bending, kneeling, standing, and walking

Ability to climb in and out of trucks and equipment

Outdoor construction sites in residential and commercial areas

Exposure to noise, dust, traffic, and heavy equipment
