About the Role
As a Marine Pipefitter, you will play a critical role in the construction and maintenance of complex piping systems for high-performance vessels. You will utilize your technical expertise to fabricate, install, and test critical infrastructure, ensuring every system meets rigorous maritime standards for safety and reliability.
Responsibilities-
Fabricate and install high-pressure piping systems, including fuel, hydraulic, and fire suppression lines, based on complex engineering blueprints.

Operate specialized machinery such as pipe benders, threading machines, and plasma cutters to achieve precise fitments for marine assemblies.

Execute minor tack and structural welds using MIG and Arc processes to secure piping foundations and spools.

Perform layout and installation work across diverse environments, from modular fabrication shops to final vessel assembly.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot system integration challenges and ensure seamless project progression.

Maintain a high standard of workplace safety and efficiency, adhering to all shipyard protocols and environmental regulations.

Mentor apprentices and junior team members to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications-
5+ years of professional experience in industrial or marine pipefitting.

Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical schematics.

Strong technical background in pipe bending, threading, and metal fabrication using torches and power tools.

Ability to perform basic MIG and Arc welding tasks.

Physical capability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.

High school diploma or vocational certification in a relevant trade.

Prior experience in a shipyard or heavy marine construction environment.

Certification as a Shipyard Competent Person.

Proficiency in aluminum and stainless steel fabrication techniques.

Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or manlifts.

Demonstrated aptitude for leadership and project coordination.
