Shift: 1st & 2nd Shift
Job Summary: Must be able to deal with Fiber Glass Experience is a PLUS
Operates automatic machines to spiral wrap laminated fabric into medium to large size
hose and air ducts.
Essential Functions:
Performs a normal range of duties to operate mechanical equipment to produce various
types of air ducts. Coordinates the mechanical assembly of wire helix and laminated
fabric by solvent adhesion.
Works from prints and pros, plans own work, performs set-ups and change-overs.
Selects machine speeds and makes operating adjustments to close tolerances
maintaining standard speed and good quality.
Operating adjustments include but are not limited to: Adjusting - drive and mandrel
speeds, wire and fabric tension controls, wire preformer, fabric stand, wire arms, wire
guides, solvent nozzle, and cutting timer. Changing fabric reels; gear changes.
Packs finished goods. Checks for quality and lap adhesion.
