Position Summary:
The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for the processing of a mortgage loan from origination to closing. This role prepares and reviews the loan file to ensure completeness of submission and supporting documents, as well as compliance with investor guidelines. This position is also responsible for upholding the outstanding reputation of the bank by providing unmatched hospitality and customer support, both internally and externally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Ensure timely and independent processing of mortgage loan files (in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and corporate policies and procedures) from origination through post settlement delivery;
- Monitor the overall lending process, and identify, resolve and communicate issues that could impact timely closure of loans.
- Proactively communicate loan status with the customer;
- Process loans through underwriting systems and review findings with the underwriter(s) and loan officer, and clear conditions;
- Identify potential issues and communicate to the customer and loan officer;
- Stay current with federal, state regulations, policies and industry trends;
- Review and verify documentation integrity to ensure it aligns with findings, completeness and compliance;
- Responsible for preparing all loan-closing documents in accordance with Bank and Investor guidelines;
- Order and review closing disclosures (CD);
- Contact Title Companies to obtain necessary documentation;
- Perform pre-closing quality review of loan files prior to the clear to close;
- Special projects and/or other duties as assigned by Management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least two (2) years of mortgage processing experience
- Knowledge of real estate lending criteria, compliance, federal/state regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include: Word, Excel, and Outlook

Physical Demands:
The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee will regularly sit; talk; hear; and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee will occasionally stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Special vision requirements include close, distant, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment and physical demands are those of a standard retail branch setting.
