Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, and replacing filters, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct basic carpentry, painting, and other mechanical repairs to maintain the integrity of building structures and facilities equipment.
- Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, electrical panels, and other critical infrastructure through scheduled servicing and emergency repairs.
- Use hand tools and electrical equipment repair techniques to address maintenance needs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and ensure the proper upkeep of building interiors for aesthetics and safety.
- Read technical schematics and mechanical drawings to execute complex repair tasks effectively while documenting all maintenance activities thoroughly.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance operations.
- Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair to address leaks, blockages, or fixture replacements.
- Ability to operate hand tools confidently and safely for various repair tasks such as carpentry or welding.
- Leadership or supervising experience demonstrating the ability to guide team members or coordinate maintenance activities effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with team members or building occupants regarding maintenance needs or safety procedures.
- Experience working with Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) supplies to ensure timely procurement of parts and materials needed for repairs.
- Familiarity with residential painting techniques for interior touch-ups that enhance the building’s appearance.
