Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic.
- Prep patients for procedures and expedite processing of scheduled patients for office-based raidiology and testing to keep the clinic on schedule.
- Take the lead in seeing post-operative patients by carrying out injections, removal of stents, drains or staples, conducting voiding trials, etc. In collaboration with the provider, establish plan for the next visit and document
- Implement infection control practices aligned with CDC guidelines; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Assist in managing in-processing questions, patient phone calls and voicemails
Qualifications
- Valid RN or LPN license by the Mississippi Board of Nursing, in good standing; additional certification such as Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for documentation accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration; commitment to maintaining HIPAA standards at all times.
