Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Single Case Agreement - SCA Consultant. Payer negotiation and single-payer strategy jobs involve managing managed-care contracts, negotiating reimbursement rates, or facilitating Single Case Agreements (SCAs) between medical providers and insurance companies.
The positions will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is funded for approximately 6 month project.
Pay Rate: $72.71/hr working 40 hours a week
Location: Full Time - hybrid schedule, working in Downtown LA

Objective 1 is to establish a sustainable Single Case Agreement (SCA) workflow.
- will build a standardized request and a system for tracking, and managing Single Case Agreements with health plans
Objective 2 is to enable Public Health to capture reimbursement for TB services already being provided.
- will obtain SCA authorizations and successfully bill private health plans for TB clinical services that are currently unreimbursed due to out-of-network status.
Objective 3 is to transition the process to permanent Public Health operations.
- will train our existing staff and operationalize the workflow so the process continues without consultant support and becomes part of routine revenue cycle management.
Some info to try to define what SCAs are and their uses:
- Single Case Agreements - A temporary contract between an insurance company and an out-of-network provider.
- SCA - Allows patients to receive specialized care at in-network costs, often when no suitable in-network providers exist or for continuity of care when insurance changes
One of the key requirements we need from this consultant/contractor is experience with working with private health plans, and possibly have connections with the health plan's utilization management.
