Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Clinician to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments utilizing clinical documentation standards, diagnostic evaluation tools, and ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies.
- Provide specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and gender issues counseling tailored to client needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, treatment planning, and patient care coordination for individuals with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
- Engage in telehealth therapy sessions utilizing telehealth platforms to expand access to mental health services across various settings.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings within behavioral health or mental health clinics.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, or behavior management strategies.
- Prior experience conducting mental health assessments using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) and documenting clinical notes according to medical documentation standards.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and managing emergency situations effectively in diverse environments including hospital or clinic settings.
- Knowledge of telehealth platforms and delivering clinical services remotely while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including applying applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Strong understanding of social work principles, trauma-focused therapies, addiction counseling practices, and working within clinical research frameworks.
