As an Activities Assistant, you'll support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by assisting with daily activities, community outings, life skills training, and recreational programs that promote independence, confidence, and meaningful community participation.
No previous day program experience is required. We provide paid training!

What You'll Do
- Assist adults with developmental disabilities in daily program activities.
- Support participants with recreational, educational, vocational, and life skills activities.
- Encourage independence, social interaction, communication, and self-confidence.
- Assist with community outings, volunteer opportunities, and special events.
- Provide support with activities of daily living (ADLs) when needed.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, positive, and respectful environment.
- Encourage participant choice and person-centered goals.
- Complete daily documentation and participant progress notes.
- Work collaboratively with instructors and leadership to provide high-quality services.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience as a Caregiver, Direct Support Professional (DSP), Home Care Aide, CNA, Behavioral Technician, Teacher's Aide, Activity Assistant, or similar role is a plus—but not required.
- Passion for helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Positive attitude, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work as part of a team.
- Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Job Coach/TDS experience is a plus!
