Sonitrol Southern Nevada is currently seeking vigilant and proactive Central Station Operators / Alarm Monitoring Specialists to join our dynamic team. We have immediate, full-time openings available on our 2nd and 3rd shifts at our secured site, which operates 24/7. Please note that this is not a guard position.
In this role, you will provide professional alarm monitoring services by listening to live audio, monitoring CCTV feeds, verifying access control and fire signals, and dispatching emergency responders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security systems (alarm panels, CCTV, and access control) to detect suspicious activity or malfunctions.
- Respond swiftly to alarm activations and dispatch emergency personnel clearly and concisely.
- Provide customer service and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams via phone, radio, and email.
- Log and report all customer activity, incidents, and service requests accurately into the computer system.
- Maintain a clean, professional office setting and sit for extended periods of time.
Minimum Requirements:
- No previous experience required; comprehensive training will be provided to qualified individuals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish is a plus).
- Strong administrative, customer service, or call center/switchboard experience preferred.
- Technical proficiency in computers, with a typing speed of at least 45 wpm net.
- Ability to handle conflict and high-pressure situations calmly and professionally.
- Ability to pass all background checks and obtain a Sheriff’s license.
- Must be able to work any assigned shift in a 100% drug, alcohol, and smoke-free work environment.
Pay: $19.00 - $19.50 per hour
