The Boston University Department of Athletics is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Video Production Assistant. This position is responsible for supporting the production of live events on ESPN+, NESN and other network partners.
This is an 8-month paid position in Athletic Marketing Communications with a monthly salary range between $2,800 and $3,000. Evening and weekend work is required.
Duties Include:
- Operating game day production equipment
- Supervising and directing on-site with the student production crew
- Assisting on-air talent leading up to and during live broadcasts
- Editing game recaps and highlight packages
- Producing motion graphics and engaging content for videoboards
- Assisting with staged photo and video shoots
- Producing short-form video content for social and broadcasts, including weekly and monthly department series
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of, and demonstrated interest in, intercollegiate athletics and video production
- Experience with live production, knowledge of Vizrt/Newtek TriCaster/3Play equipment preferred
- Experience with DSLR and mirrorless cameras
- Experience with lighting setup for photo and video shoots
- Experience with Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or comparable video editing software required
- Experience with the Adobe Design Suite, especially After Effects, software preferred
