Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems across various properties. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and preventative inspections to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot electrical components using tools like ohmmeters and conduct equipment repairs or replacements as needed.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and property maintenance tasks involving piping or drainage issues.
- Weld metal components or parts when necessary for repairs or system modifications.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely to transport tools or equipment between job sites.
- Collaborate with team members on field service projects requiring mechanical knowledge, appliance repair skills, or welding expertise.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions for each project.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local regulations while delivering exceptional customer service.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar field service role with a strong mechanical background.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC/R systems including refrigeration (especially ammonia refrigeration), air conditioning units, boilers, and related mechanical equipment.
- Skilled in reading schematics and HVAC design plans for accurate troubleshooting and installation.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing systems related to HVAC applications.
- Familiarity with appliance repair, property maintenance procedures, and general building systems management.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
- Mechanical experience in welding or boiler maintenance is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred.
- Certifications in HVAC/R technology or relevant trade licenses are a plus; ongoing professional development encouraged.
