Role Description
We are seeking a self-motivated, full-time Craftsman to join our hands-on production team in Birmingham, AL. This on-site role involves crafting high-quality wood-based products such as tables, cabinets, and other furniture pieces. It also requires an individual with leadership abilities that can instruct apprentices as needed and problem-solve in a workshop environment. The Craftsman will work on material preparation, assembly, finishing, and quality control to ensure the highest standards in our products. The role also includes maintaining a clean and organized workspace, operating woodworking tools, heavy machinery, and collaborating with shop staff and apprentices for efficient project completion.
Essential Responsibilities
- Executes advanced woodworking, cabinetry, finish carpentry and furniture
- Supports daily and weekly production goals in coordination with leadership
- Provides training and supervision to apprentices and shop staff
- Assists with shop production, finishing, painting, and prep work as needed
- Conducts quality control inspections to ensure structural integrity and finish standards
- Supports field installs, deliveries, and job-site work
- Enforces shop safety protocols, PPE usage, and equipment standards
- Provides production leadership coverage during foreman or staff absences
- Contributes to a culture of integrity, respect, and education

- CNC operation & programming fundamentals (nonessential)

Hiring Details
Timeline: Looking to hire as soon as possible!
Salary: Starting pay range between 50,000 to 55,000 based on experience
