About the Opportunity
Pleasant Street Auto Body & Repair, Inc. is seeking a skilled and reliable HD Truck / Fleet
Mechanic to join our busy shop in South Hadley, MA. We offer a dynamic work environment with

growth. This position involves inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty
trucks, trailers, and equipment. You will work under the direction of the Shop Manager and play
a key role in keeping our customers’ vehicles safe and running reliably.
Responsibilities
● Inspect trucks, trailers, and equipment based on customer concerns and determine
necessary repairs
● Create accurate parts lists and perform repairs efficiently
● Conduct routine maintenance and preventive services on fleet vehicles and equipment
● Replace or repair worn, damaged, or malfunctioning parts
● Perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, climbing, twisting, and working in various
positions
Qualifications & Skills
● Previous experience as a heavy-duty truck or equipment mechanic (required)
● Strong ability to diagnose, maintain, and repair trucks and equipment
● Solid knowledge of mechanical systems and terminology
● Excellent troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills
● Proficient in the safe operation of shop tools and equipment
Requirements
● Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
● CDL (a plus)
● Excellent communication and organizational skills
● Professional appearance and strong work ethic
● Must pass background check and drug screening
● Must be punctual and able to work full shifts

● Computer diagnostics
● Air conditioning systems
● Air brake systems
● Hydraulics
● Welding
