You will be responsible for supporting and overseeing fund administration operations for U.S.-based alternative investment clients.
This role is designed for a highly motivated operations and fund accounting professional with strong experience across both open-ended and closed-ended private fund structures. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of operational leadership, technical fund accounting expertise, client management capabilities, and process improvement experience.
The successful candidate will work directly with senior leadership and play a key role in managing complex fund structures, supporting client relationships, overseeing operational workflows, and helping scale the U.S. platform.
FUNCTIONS
You will be reporting to the Managing Director-USA or equivalent.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Fund Operations & Fund Administration
● Oversee fund administration operations across both open-ended and closed-ended private fund structures.
● Support alternative investment clients across hedge funds, private credit funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds, and digital asset funds.
● Review and oversee NAV packages, capital account statements, investor allocations, fee calculations, and financial reporting deliverables.
● Assist with fund launches, onboarding, restructurings, liquidations, and operational transitions.
● Manage relationships with auditors, tax providers, legal counsel, banking partners, and other external service providers.
● Partner with global operations teams to resolve operational issues and ensure timely and accurate delivery of client reporting.
● Identify opportunities for operational enhancements, automation, controls improvement, and scalability across workflows.
● Support operational due diligence reviews and client audits.
Client Management
● Serve as a senior operational contact for a portfolio of U.S.-based fund clients.
● Develop strong relationships with fund managers, CFOs, COOs, controllers, and investor relations teams.
● Lead recurring client calls, service reviews, and operational meetings.
● Ensure high-quality client service, including onboarding discussions and prospective client presentations
Leadership & Team Support
● Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members in the U.S. office.
● Assist in building a scalable and high-performing U.S. operations function.
● Help establish the U.S. client service function as a scalable, high-performing team.
● Promote accountability, responsiveness, and operational excellence across teams.
● Contribute to process documentation, training initiatives, and best-practice development.
REQUIREMENTS
● Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CFA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
● 2 to 7 years of experience in fund administration, fund accounting, or alternative investment operations.
● Strong understanding of U.S. fund structures, industry regulations, and investor servicing requirements.
● Required experience supporting both:
● Open-ended fund structures (hedge funds, hybrid structures, evergreen/private credit vehicles), and
● Closed-ended fund structures (private equity, private credit, venture capital, real estate funds, SPVs, and co-investment vehicles).
● Strong understanding of:
● NAV oversight,
● investor allocations,
● capital activity,
● waterfall calculations,
● fund financial reporting,
● and alternative investment operations.
● Experience managing client relationships and coordinating with auditors, tax advisors, and other service providers.
● Prior experience overseeing or mentoring junior staff and collaborating with global operations teams.
● Experience with digital asset funds, tokenized structures, or digital asset fund administration is a plus.
● Familiarity with fund accounting platforms such as Geneva, PFS-Paxus, Investran, Allvue, Advent, eFront, Enfusion, or similar systems is preferred.
● Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and deliver operational excellence.
● Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with fund accounting systems.
● Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities under pressure.
● Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
