Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and materials handling to ensure operational efficiency.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing environment.
- Oversee inventory management processes using Warehouse Management Systems
- Coordinate warehouse distribution efforts, ensuring timely order fulfillment and adherence to shipping & receiving schedules.
- Implement process improvements to enhance workflow, safety protocols (OSHA compliance), and overall productivity.
- Overlook mechanical equipment usage safely while conducting regular inspections and maintenance checks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of inventory management, logistics, warehouse distribution, and materials handling procedures.
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes within e-commerce or retail environments.
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment and heavy lifting techniques.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and improve operational workflows.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for materials handling in busy warehouse settings.
