Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Tax preparation management and planning
- Manage tax preparation and facilitate tax planning for Kent family trusts and senior Kent family executives
- Respond to taxing authorities as needed
- Maintain general tax competence in order to provide timely and accurate advice
Financial management and planning
- Assist Company shareholders with respect to purchasing and financing the purchase of personal residences and other real property
- Assist senior Kent family executives with long-term investment planning as well as short-term cashflow management
Estate planning
- Advise senior Kent family executives on estate planning matters and review estate plans and related materials
- Review, maintain, and manage trusts and other entities to accomplish estate planning goals
Other duties
- In order to effectively implement Kent family objectives, coordinate tax, financial, and estate planning efforts with: (1) Kent family outside attorneys and tax and investment advisors; and (2) the Company’s in-house legal team and tax professionals
- Provide general guidance to shareholders with respect to their rights and responsibilities as owners of Company stock
- Direct and Supervise the Manager of Shareholder & Corporate Services in the performance of that position’s day-to-day work
- Collaborate with and provide advice and counsel to the Manager of Administrative Services in the work performed for the Office of the Chairman
- Be a resource for historical matters for the Kent family and the Company
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education/License/Certification:
- Juris Doctorate with significant sophisticated estate planning and tax experience
- Iowa law license
Experience:
- CPA-level financial expertise

Work Environment:
- Work is primarily performed in a corporate office setting at headquarters. The role may also require periodic travel, including occasional court appearances and offsite meetings with external counsel or business partners.
