Position Overview
Realty Management Services is seeking a Residential Appraiser Trainee to join our team in a full-time role based in Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester or Salem Counties. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in real estate appraisal. No prior appraisal experience is required — we will provide the training and support needed to learn the role.
In this position, the trainee will work alongside our team to learn the appraisal process, including property inspections, data collection, market research, valuation analysis, and report preparation. The role will involve a combination of in-person fieldwork and remote work, along with direct communication with clients and team members to ensure assignments are completed accurately and on time.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with residential property inspections and gather relevant property details
- Collect and organize market data, comparable sales, and other supporting information
- Learn how to analyze property values and market trends
- Help prepare appraisal reports and supporting documentation
- Communicate professionally with clients, team members, and other parties involved in the appraisal process
- Meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
- Interest in real estate, property valuation, or appraisal work
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills and the ability to manage tasks efficiently
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Associates Degree required
- Additional coursework or background in real estate, business, or finance is a plus, but not required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local property visits

Salary: $35,000-$50,000 as your first year with over $60,000+ once licensed

Work Location: Remote (New Jersey) This is a remote position; however, the successful candidate must reside in New Jersey and be willing and able to travel throughout multiple New Jersey counties to perform on-site residential property inspections. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel daily are required.
Pay: $35,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
