CNC Machinist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to accomplish a high level of work without supervision to produce machined parts by programming, setting-up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Yasnac and Fanuc controls desirable but not required.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines to fabricate components according to specifications.
- Set up and adjust machine tools for optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools for assembly and finishing tasks.
- Perform quality checks using calipers and coordinate measuring machines.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Conduct basic math calculations to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with programming CNC machines is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials is essential.
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing concepts is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
