Overview
Flexible scheduling, ideal for stay-at-home parents or someone looking for light supplemental income! We are seeking a 1099 Occupational Therapist to provide school-based services on a VERY part-time basis (~2-5 hours per week). This role is to provide IEP services and compensatory services for two middle school students.
Duties
- Provide occupational therapy services for two students with individualized needs in a school setting.
- Conduct or review evaluations as needed and develop/update the students' OT goals and services.
- Deliver direct and compensatory therapy sessions (frequency determined by the IEP).
- Provide consultative support to the teacher and staff to help the students access the curriculum and school environment.
- Address sensory regulation, fine-motor, visual-motor, and functional school participation skills as appropriate.
- Document therapy sessions and progress notes in accordance with school and state requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with the educational team and family.
- Recommend classroom accommodations, environmental supports, or adaptive tools tailored to the students' needs.
Requirements
- Valid Ohio occupational therapy license (or OT Compact privilege for Ohio)
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience working with children or in a school setting.
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to work very part-time (approximately 2–5 hours per week).
- Ability to pass required school or district background checks.
Pay: $55.00 - $58.00 per hour
