We are hiring a CDL Sanitation Truck Driver to operate a garbage truck on assigned routes and lead a small crew. This role involves waste collection, equipment operation, and ensuring safe and efficient route completion.
Pay: $24.00 per hourResponsibilities
- Operate a garbage truck on assigned routes
- Collect, load, and transport waste to disposal sites
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow routes, schedules, and safety procedures
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on vehicles
- Provide professional interaction with customers
- Lead and support a 2–3 person crew
- Respond to emergency situations as needed
Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
- Current DOT medical card
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to lead a small crew
- 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred
- Waste industry experience a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Must wear steel-toe boots and PPE daily

- Outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Exposure to traffic, equipment, noise, and waste materials
- Physical work including lifting, bending, climbing, and repetitive motion
