We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting the growth and meaningful lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. This is an on-site role within a residential home that accommodates up to four residents. The Direct Care Staff is tasked with providing assistance and support in personal care and daily living activities, with a focus on empowering clients and fostering their personal growth and independence.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Assist clients with daily living skills, such as grooming, bathing, dressing, etc.
- Perform light household responsibilities, such as cooking and cleaning.
- Drive client’s to and from doctor’s appointments, scheduled community outings, and other locations using the company van.
- Chart on client progress on goals, health, and daily activity.
- Perform health-care related tasks including but not limited to taking client vitals and passing medication.
SKILLS YOU NEED TO BE CONSIDERED:
- Ability to communicate efficiently with staff and consumers
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT IF SELECTED:
- The Administrator of the facility will reach out to set up an in-person interview.
- You will be asked to fill out an employment application.
WHAT TO EXPECT IF YOU ARE HIRED:
- Participate in a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and receive tuberculosis (TB) clearance
- Participate in a criminal history background check through the Department of Justice and receive clearance
- Attend a paid, three-day New Hire Orientation training at our corporate office located in La Mirada
- Become certified in: CPR, AED, and First Aid | Medication Administration | CPI’s Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training*
*These trainings are paid for and provided throughout employment.

- Available Shift: (Monday-Friday 6a-9a & Saturday 8a-12p)
Job Types: Part-time
Pay: $ 17.81 - 19.00 per hour (Depends on Experience)
