Job Summary
Pediatric Speech Therapist interested in building a business within a business. All expenses, including rent, covered by fees billed and collected by clinic's in-house billing. Grow Speech Department a much as desired with partial assistance from clinic's reputation and advertising.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for licensed speech-language pathologists to provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to pediatric populations, including children with speech impairments, language delays, and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with children, a comprehensive understanding of speech therapy techniques, and the ability to collaborate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess communication abilities and identify areas of need.
- Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each child's specific goals and needs.
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions using evidence-based practices, including telehealth options when appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive treatment approaches.
- Monitor progress regularly, adjusting therapy strategies to optimize outcomes and meet developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, session notes, and progress reports within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Stay informed about current research, best practices in pediatrics and speech-language pathology, and relevant medical terminology.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, anatomy, physiology related to speech production, and early intervention strategies.
- Proven ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective therapy plans aligned with individual needs.
- Excellent communication skills for parent collaboration and multidisciplinary team coordination.
- Ability to work independently as a subcontractor while adhering to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
