Office Clerk Position – SHK & Associates
SHK & Associates is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and organized Office Clerk to join our team at our Anderson, South Carolina office. This is a long-term position ideal for a professional committed to providing excellent support and maintaining efficient office operations.

Position Overview
As an Office Clerk, you will be a key contributor to the agency’s daily success. You will manage essential administrative tasks, maintain accurate records, and ensure our office environment runs smoothly. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in their work and possesses the interpersonal skills necessary to provide a friendly, welcoming experience for our clients and team.
Work Schedule
- Off-Season (April – September): Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Peak Season (October – March): Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Full-time)
- Note: Please refer to our Paid Holiday Sheet for company-observed time off.
Compensation
- Pay Rate: $14.00 – $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Office Operations: Punctually prepare the office for daily operations.
- Communication: Act as the first point of contact by answering phones, taking messages, and routing calls appropriately.
- Scheduling: Manage calendars and assist with appointment coordination.
- Document Management: Maintain physical and digital filing systems, including handling sensitive, encrypted documents and managing email correspondence.
- Administrative Support: Organize and execute mailings, take meeting minutes, and prepare agendas or memos.
- Record Keeping: Perform precise data entry and maintain organized, confidential records.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience in a clerical or administrative role is preferred.
- Organization: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and record maintenance.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and staff.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with standard office equipment (printers, copiers, fax machines) and digital file management.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while functioning as a collaborative team member.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Office Manager / Director of Operations, Janelle Baker.
