The Olive Branch School @ Hopscotch Academy is a progressive Reggio-Emilia inspired micro-school and early learning center. We offered our first kindergarten program during the 2024-2025 school year. We are dedicated to creating an environment that is nurturing and supportive to young minds . We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator to join our team.
*Overview:*
As a Elementary Educator at Hopscotch Academy you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our young learners. You will create a stimulating and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
*Responsibilities:*
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the Reggio-Emilia inspired approach.
- Provide a safe and supportive classroom setting conducive to learning
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a positive learning environment
- Assess students' progress through documentation and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on students' academic and social development
- Incorporate physical education and interactive activities into daily lesson plans
- Foster a love for learning through interactive teaching methods
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and students to enhance the overall educational experience for students
*Skills:*
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Proficiency in standardized testing procedures
- Strong ability in curriculum development tailored to young learners
- Effective classroom management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles
- Experience in tutoring or early education service settings
- Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential
