Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform care plans.
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Support complex procedures such as catheterizations, suturing, dialysis management, and ventilator care with precision and confidence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care environments including ICU, emergency room, trauma centers, and surgical units to coordinate patient care.
- Conduct triage assessments in urgent care or emergency settings to prioritize patient needs effectively.
- Provide specialized care for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care patients, and hospice or palliative medicine clients.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest standards of infection control and patient safety throughout all activities.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in the relevant state or jurisdiction with current certification.
- Proven experience working in fast-paced healthcare environments such as hospitals, emergency rooms, ICU, or long-term care facilities.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic and Cerner; familiarity with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to support accurate patient assessments and documentation.
- Experience performing advanced procedures such as IV insertions, phlebotomy, tube feeding management, ostomy care, and laboratory specimen collection.
- Critical care experience preferred—especially within Level I or Level II trauma centers—and familiarity with trauma medicine or acute pain management.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or other relevant specialties are advantageous.
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law or occupational health practices is a plus; experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs is valued.

Pay: $1,900.00 - $2,200.00 per week
