As a valued member of the educational team, you’ll support a caseload of 20-23 students, collaborating closely with teachers, families, and school staff to help each student reach their highest potential. Utilize your expertise to assess, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy interventions within diverse educational settings.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current California physical therapist licensure
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
- Ability to manage an itinerant schedule and travel between locations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical therapy assessments for students K-12
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educational teams
- Deliver services in accordance with each student’s IEP and California state regulations
- Consult regularly with staff and families to support inclusion and student growth
- Document progress and adapt interventions as needed
- Travel to multiple sites within the district as part of the itinerant model
