Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Bilingual Behavior Technician to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, to implement personalized behavioral therapy plans. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and hygiene to promote independence.
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform care plans.
- Implement ABA therapy protocols under the supervision of licensed behavior analysts, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and treatment guidelines.
- Support clients during structured teaching activities, including skill acquisition, social skills training, and behavior management strategies.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families, caregivers, and team members to update on progress and address concerns.
- Contribute to the development of individualized care plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, including those with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities.
Skills
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism spectrum disorders or other developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and experience implementing ABA therapy protocols.
- Strong ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health initiatives through direct client care.
- Proficiency in behavioral data collection and medical documentation practices aligned with HIPAA standards.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and home-based behavioral therapy settings.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining professional and ethical compliance as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Code of Ethics.
