Sales Consultant
Mazda of Port Charlotte is seeking a motivated and professional Sales Consultant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about people, relationship-building, and delivering an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced environment.
As a Sales Consultant, you will guide customers through a transparent, no-pressure, no-games buying process while helping them find the right vehicle for their needs. You will play a key role in supporting dealership sales growth, customer satisfaction, and our reputation for doing business the right way.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement & Sales
- Engage with prospective and existing customers to understand their needs and recommend the right vehicle and ownership solutions
- Build trust and long-term relationships through professional, consultative selling
- Present vehicle features, benefits, pricing, and value clearly and confidently
- Communicate with customers in person, by phone, text, email, and virtual platforms
Sales Process & Follow-Up
- Manage the sales process from first contact through delivery
- Follow up consistently with prospects, appointments, and previous customers
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and required paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Achieve individual sales targets while contributing to overall team success
Product Knowledge & Market Awareness
- Maintain strong knowledge of Mazda products, trim levels, and competitive offerings
- Stay informed on market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends
- Support dealership promotions, events, and marketing initiatives as needed
CRM & Documentation
- Keep accurate and timely records of customer communication, follow-up activity, and deal progress in the CRM
- Maintain compliance with dealership processes, expectations, and standards
Qualifications
- Previous sales or customer service experience preferred
- Automotive experience is an asset, but not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport quickly
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and disciplined in daily activity
- Strong listening skills with a customer-first mindset
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills; CRM experience preferred
- Positive attitude, resilience, adaptability, and professionalism
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
