Laila's Way Behavioral Services is seeking a dedicated Assistant Behavior Consultant (ABC) to join our clinical team. The Assistant Behavior Consultant works under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to assist in the assessment, development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized treatment plans for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other behavioral health needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), enjoys collaborating with families and interdisciplinary teams, and is committed to helping children build meaningful skills across home, school, community, and center-based settings.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising LBS/BCBA with behavioral assessments and treatment planning.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of individualized ABA treatment plans.
- Provide clinical support, coaching, and guidance to Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
- Conduct caregiver training and provide ongoing support to families.
- Observe treatment sessions and provide feedback to direct staff to ensure treatment fidelity.
- Monitor client progress and analyze behavioral data.
- Complete treatment plan reviews, progress summaries, session documentation, and other required clinical paperwork within established timeframes.
- Collaborate with families, schools, physicians, and other treatment team members.
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, and professional development activities.
- Maintain documentation in CentralReach and ensure compliance with IBHS regulations, payer requirements, and company policies.
- Follow all HIPAA and organizational policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification; OR
- A bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Counseling, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field and proof of successful completion of all twelve (12) required ABA coursework classes; OR
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, proof of completion of all twelve (12) required ABA coursework classes, and at least one (1) year of experience providing ABA services.
Additional requirements:
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavioral interventions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel between service locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising BHTs or RBTs.
- Experience providing services in home, school, community, or center-based settings.
- Experience using CentralReach or another electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Experience conducting caregiver training.
