Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and efficiency
- Reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
- Prepare journal entries, including debits & credits, to record financial transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Assist in payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accurate reporting
- Generate detailed financial reports, including financial statement writing and budget analysis, for internal review and decision-making
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or comparable systems
- Solid understanding of corporate accounting standards, non-profit accounting practices, and GAAP guidelines
- Experience with double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
- Familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data management and reporting purposes
- Ability to perform general ledger reconciliation accurately and efficiently
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, account reconciliation, and budgeting processes
- Excellent attention to detail combined with effective organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Pay: $28.02 - $33.74 per hour
