R&D Engineer
Irvine, CA
Join Stryker and support the development of innovative medical device technologies designed to address complex vascular conditions. In this role, you will contribute to product design, testing, and development activities while working closely with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
What You Will Do

Design and verify mechanical components and assemblies for medical device products.

Develop prototypes, test methods, fixtures, and equipment to evaluate product performance against design requirements.

Conduct bench testing, data collection, and statistical analysis to support design and process decisions.

Perform root cause investigations and support corrective actions for product and process issues.

Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, protocols, reports, and Design History File records.

Collaborate with Marketing, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, and other functions to support product development activities.

Research customer, clinical, and market requirements and incorporate findings into product design considerations.

Generate and evaluate new design concepts while supporting intellectual property and innovation activities.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.

Minimum 0 years of engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, design controls, and product development processes.

Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and engineering problem-solving techniques.

Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machine shop practices, or 3D printing technologies.
