Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Low Voltage Estimator with 2–5 years of experience in sound and communications or related low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project estimates while collaborating with project managers, vendors, and field teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for low-voltage projects including structured cabling, security, AV, and communication systems
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform take-offs and develop labor/material estimates
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Coordinate with project management and operations teams to ensure accurate scope alignment
- Maintain organized documentation of bids and proposals
- Assist in post-bid reviews and project handoff
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of estimating experience as an estimator in low-voltage, sound & communications, or electrical contracting
- Strong understanding of structured cabling systems and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience working with union environments (IBEW preferred)
