Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral care team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and intake interviews, to determine individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, art therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Implement specialized interventions for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, or substance use issues, ensuring tailored care that meets their unique needs.
- Collect and document medical records, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies and conflict management techniques to ensure client safety and stability.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, behavioral health practices, and legal requirements related to patient care.
Qualifications
- Strong background in addiction counseling, social work, or mental health counseling with relevant certifications preferred.
- Familiarity with data collection methods for tracking client progress and treatment efficacy.
- Knowledge of crisis management, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Experience working with children and families in educational or clinical settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform patient assessments accurately while adhering to HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality.
