Equine Farm Maintenance & Groundskeeper (One Full-Time or Two Part-Time Roles)

About UsWe are a premier equine facility dedicated to top-notch horse care and property maintenance. We are seeking reliable, handy, and self-motivated individuals—or one dedicated professional—to keep our beautiful facility running smoothly and looking its best.
Position Options: We can structure this role in one of two ways:
- One Full-Time Employee (35-45 hours/week): Handles all duties below. On-site housing is provided for this option.
- Two Part-Time Employees: One dedicated Handyman/Tractor Operator and one Grounds Maintenance specialist. (Housing not included for part-time).
Key Responsibilities Option A: Handyman & Tractor Operator
- Tractor Operation: Safely operate a tractor to drag and water arenas, and dump manure at the compost pit. Smooth out/repair gravel driveways, and snow removal.
- General Carpentry & Repairs: Fix broken wheelbarrows, repair fence boards, replace or secure stall mats and boards, and much more!
- Daily Problem Solving: Handle everyday fix-it tasks and maintenance emergencies as they arise.
Option B: Grounds Maintenance & Landscaping
- Lawn Care: Mow large acreage and precision weed-eat around fences, barns, and trees.
- Landscaping: Clear out, mulch, and maintain flower beds to keep the property pristine.
- Property Upkeep: Keep pathways clean and clear of debris.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience working on a farm, ranch, or equine facility is highly preferred.
- Equipment Skills: Confident and safe operation of tractors, zero-turn mowers, and weed eaters.
- Handy Skills: Basic carpentry, power tool proficiency, and a "figure-it-out" attitude for mechanical repairs.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and perform physical labor daily.
- Reliability: Punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work independently without constant supervision.
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience: $10 - $18/hour
