The Lighthouse School is looking for caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Infant, Toddler, and Preschool Teachers to join our team. If you have a passion for early childhood education and enjoy making a positive impact in the lives of young children, we'd love to meet you.
Our teachers create safe, nurturing, and engaging classrooms where children learn through meaningful experiences, exploration, and play. Whether you're working with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers, you'll help build the strong foundation children need for lifelong learning.
Age Groups
We are hiring teachers for one or more of the following classrooms:
- Infants: 6 weeks – 17 months
- Toddlers: 18 months – 2 years
- Preschool: 3 – 5 years
Placement will be based on your experience, qualifications, and the needs of the school.

Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children feel loved, secure, and encouraged to learn.
- Build positive relationships with each child and support their social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Implement age-appropriate lessons and activities using our curriculum.
- Encourage curiosity, creativity, independence, and confidence through hands-on, play-based learning.
- Observe children's development and communicate their progress with families.
- Maintain open, respectful, and professional communication with parents.
- Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, handwashing, and other daily care routines appropriate for the age group.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom that meets all health and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and administrators.
- Follow all state licensing regulations and school policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or early childhood program preferred.
- Passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable, patient, nurturing, and professional.
- Ability to actively participate in classroom activities both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of childcare or teaching experience.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- CDA, Associate Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
