Schedule: 32 Hours Per Week
Required Schedule
- Thursday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Friday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Position Overview
Professional Security Consultants (PSC) is seeking a dependable, professional, and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team in Austin, Texas.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and understands that professional security is about creating a safe and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be friendly and approachable while remaining alert and prepared to respond when needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible and professional security presence.
- Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the assigned property.
- Monitor for suspicious activity, security concerns, safety hazards, and emergency situations.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance.
- Contact police, fire, or EMS when necessary and assist first responders upon arrival.
- Enforce property rules and regulations professionally and respectfully.
- Identify and appropriately address unauthorized individuals or suspicious activity.
- Assist guests, tenants, and employees with directions and other customer service needs.
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Operate radios, mobile devices, and other security-related equipment.
- Maintain awareness of assigned areas and promptly communicate security or safety concerns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by site leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Basic computer and report-writing skills.
- Dependable and able to consistently work the required schedule.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must possess a valid Texas Security License through TOPS.
- Valid driver's license required for assignments involving vehicle patrols.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and customer-service driven.
- Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screening.
- Must remain free from illegal drug use.
- Must represent PSC with integrity, professionalism, and respect.
