Job Description
The IT Project Manager leads medium to large-scale healthcare technology projects that support strategic initiatives across The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. This role is responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, implementation, and closure, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope.
Working closely with clinical, research, academic, and administrative stakeholders, the Project Manager coordinates cross-functional teams, manages project risks and resources, and facilitates communication among technical and business partners. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive successful outcomes in a complex healthcare environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and two (2) years of project management experience leading technology-focused projects using various project methodologies, along with experience supporting specific IT disciplines or technologies. Strong communication, customer relationship management, analytical, and change management skills are required. Experience developing project documentation, utilizing project management tools, and working in healthcare IT environments is preferred. PMP certification is preferred but not required.
