Responsibilities
- Track inventory levels, process orders, and update stock records accurately.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders of flooring, using forklifts, pallet jacks, and wrapping/strapping tools and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently using forklifts and while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct inventory counts and manage stock replenishment through inventory management software to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch by packaging products securely and verifying shipping & receiving documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by stocking shelves, organizing storage areas, and ensuring safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate shipping schedules, manage order fulfillment timelines, and optimize warehouse distribution processes.
- Perform data entry tasks related to shipment tracking, inventory updates, and order processing with accuracy.
- Support customer service efforts by providing timely updates on order status and resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or distribution center is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn!
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and inventory management is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills are essential for counting stock quantities and verifying shipment details accurately.
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks or order pickers with proper certification is preferred; training can be provided if needed.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills ensures accuracy in data entry and stock handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards is crucial.
