Bar Henry in Echo Park is looking for an experienced barback to join us. We’re a tight knit crew here, and attitude is everything. The Barback role is an extremely important part of our success at the bar. If you understand the need for a sense of urgency, can follow through on the smallest of details, and have a flexible schedule, we’d love to hear from you.
- Minimum 1 year of barback experience in similar cocktail environment
- Complete prep and stocking of bar with alcoholic beverages, mixers, syrups, garnishes, and other house made ingredients
- Preparation of house-made syrups and mixes
- Stock BOH with all supplies including liquor, beer, wine, paper and dry goods, etc.
- Light snack item preparation.
- Servicing restrooms
- Assist bartenders in cleaning and maintaining bars, filling ice bins, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of bar overall including all equipment, sweeping, mopping, take out the trash, etc.
- Continued monitoring of restrooms, ensuring a tidy experience for the guests.
- Set up and breakdown of lounge area and outside tables and chairs
- Adhere to dress code standards
- Team player
Communication is important, between yourself and fellow staff, as well as with management. You should be receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback.
ServSafe food handlers and RBS certification is required within 30 days of hire and you must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
Physical Demands:
The environment could potentially be high stress, so you'll need to be comfortable with that, and also physically capable of bending, crawling, stooping, walking, standing, sitting, handling hot and cold drinks, lifting a minimum of 50lbs, and performing repetitive motions for extended periods of up to 8 hours.
