Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Assisted Living House Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our memory care senior living community. This role is vital in ensuring residents receive exceptional care, fostering a warm and welcoming environment, and maintaining compliance with health regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong management skills, extensive experience in long-term and assisted living care, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for our residents. As a key leader, you will coordinate care services, supervise staff, manage facility administration, and uphold the highest standards of safety and resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the assisted living facility, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to all health regulation policies.
- Supervise and support care staff, including nursing personnel, caregivers, and administrative team members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for residents, with particular attention to Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and residents with developmental disabilities.
- Manage medication administration processes in compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Coordinate resident services to promote independence, dignity, and well-being while addressing specific needs related to aging or cognitive impairments.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff schedules, incident reports, and regulatory compliance using Microsoft Office tools.
- Oversee financial management tasks such as budgeting, billing, and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure facility compliance with long-term care regulations and health policies through regular audits and staff training.
- Lead emergency response procedures and foster a safe environment for residents and staff alike.
- Facilitate communication with residents’ families regarding care updates and community events to promote transparency and trust.
Skills
- Extensive experience in nursing home or assisted living facility management with a strong understanding of long-term care regulations.
- Proven leadership skills in supervising multidisciplinary teams within senior or residential care settings.
- Deep knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care strategies, memory care programs, and resident’s <PERSON> (personalized) needs.
- Familiarity with developing comprehensive care plans tailored to individual residents’ conditions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation, reporting, scheduling, and communication purposes.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities services is highly desirable.
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, financial management, healthcare financial management practices, and resource planning.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols adhering to healthcare standards.
- Understanding of home & community care services as well as residential care home operations.
- Excellent management skills including supervising staff performance, managing budgets, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Ability to navigate long-term care policies effectively while maintaining a compassionate approach to senior living.
