American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring an active NJ or Compact license and circulating/scrubbing skills for C-section

Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
-
13-week assignment on night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
-
Every other weekend (EOW) required
-
Required to float within a system of 5 hospitals based on staffing needs (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL)
-
May be required to float to the High-Risk Obstetric Unit (HROB)
-
1:2 to 1:6 patient ratio depending on facility volume, with possible pull to higher-volume facilities

Uses Epic EMR

Block scheduling is not permitted
-
Active RN license (NJ or Compact) required, currently in hand
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
-
Minimum 1-2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required, within the last 12 months
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Must be able to circulate and scrub for C-section
-
Must be able to pass a Dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing, on a PC (not iOS compatible), with only 2 attempts allowed
-
Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit
-
COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions
-
Provide comprehensive Labor and Delivery care including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management
-
Perform fetal monitoring including external and internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement and calibration, and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
-
Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, including forceps/vacuum extraction and C-section recovery
-
Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and other labor-related therapies

Provide neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and thermoregulation
-
Scrubs are provided by the hospital

One winter holiday and one summer holiday coverage required

No local rate offered for this position

First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
-
RTO must be submitted with initial profile; requests after submission will not be accepted, and no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment

Candidates living within 50 miles of their primary facility are subject to the local rate
