Scripps La Jolla shares a campus with the Barbey Family Emergency and Trauma Center, a Level I Trauma Center, and the renowned Prebys Cardiovascular Institute. We’re also home to notable specialty programs, including cancer care, heart surgery, orthopedic surgery, labor and delivery services (including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit) and a nationally designated Comprehensive Stroke Center.
This is a Casual status also known as Per Diem RN position located at Scripps Memorial La Jolla in the brand new north tower. The shift is a 8 hour day shift and the start time would fall between 0630-0900 and vary throughout the week. There is call rotation weekday/weekend/holiday call, and overnight call. In a 4 week schedule period, casual employees are required to work once per week with 2 call shifts per schedule period. Additional call is available if you want more shifts. For the training period 2-3 shifts per week would be ideal, but we are flexible with availability.

Responsibilities include: provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year RN experience
- Active California RN license
- BLS, Healthcare Provider Certifications through American Heart Association
- Must be able to speak, read and following instructions in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate positive behaviors
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA in Nursing
- Previous RN Endoscopy experience is strongly preferred
- Pre-OP/Post Op, IR/Cath/OR/moderate sedation experience is preferred

Position Pay Range: $59.16-$85.68/hour
