Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling to meet each pet’s specific needs and owner preferences
- Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process
- Restrain animals safely using proper techniques to facilitate grooming procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, stations, and work areas to ensure a hygienic environment
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming options, aftercare instructions, and pet behavior
- Assist with pet handling during appointments
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet grooming
- Strong dog handling skills and animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff
- Knowledge of animal handling practices across various species including dogs, cat
- Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as large dogs or equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Basic understanding of pet care routines including dog training and animal behavior management
