Maple Grove Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Activity Director to join our team. Responsibilities of an Activity Director:
- Plan and implement activities for nursing home residents, including programs designed to improve daily living skills and enhance overall well-being
- Utilize creativity and expertise to develop a wide range of activities, including entertainment, relaxation, and socialization opportunities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans and ensure that activities align with resident needs and preferences
- Lead and direct the work of other staff members, providing guidance and support as needed
- Demonstrate expertise in a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Perform a wide range of complicated tasks, requiring a high degree of creativity and latitude
Ideal Candidate:
- Must have experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of Activity Director principles and practices
- Possess a license in Activity Director or be willing to obtain one
- Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff members
- Possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
